This site is setup to model a classroom social networking site. We will post classroom discussion, videos and links to other sites. Some of the previous features on this site (uploading your own video, groups, etc) are missing from the site. We will continue to use the ning and explore other options that work with the class ning. Here is a link to the ning plans and the mini education Pearson Sponsorship. Please review safety settings before when using with students.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Social Networking and Web 2.0 in the Classroom
Engage in social networking while learning the fundamentals of Web 2.0 technologies that foster cohesion, connect classrooms globally, and generate content via social interaction. Throughout this course, learners explore social networking resources that are available to educators and how these technologies can transform teaching and learning. Learn to create professional learning networks that integrate into the classroom.
Examples of social networking sites include Ning, (Groupsite / Edmodo) Twitter and Wikis. This course will focus on various multimedia tools for teaching and learning that integrate into the classroom.
